WOW! Dortmund-fan was onder de indruk en werd in één stap Club-supporter na magische avond

Zo'n 5 à 6.000 Club-supporters waren woensdagavond aanwezig in Dortmund om er blauw-zwart aan te moedigen. Na de wedstrijd werd dat er ééntje meer...

De Amerikaan Alan Pyke reisde namelijk af naar Dortmund om er de befaamde 'Gele Wand' aan het werk te zien. Toen hij plots tussen enkele Belgische supporters kwam te zitten, werd hij omarmd door de Brugse fans. Ze leerden hem de kneepjes van het vak: klappen in de 23ste minuut, 'Ivan leko's Bruges Army' zingen, enzovoort. Uiteindelijk veranderde hij van een Dortmund-supporter naar een Club-supporter in enkele uren tijd. Geweldig!

I don't know how to explain to you what happened tonight. We went to the Signal Iduna to see the Yellow Wall from the far end of the park. But Brugge fans swarmed the section where we had tickets, so we ended up pushing our way along a railing up a staircase, contenting ourselves with sturdy grips on the rail and nervously murmuring about Hillsborough-but-200-feet-up for ten minutes. And then....And then. And then the Brugge fans took us into their bosom, we settled in on a makeshift terrace, they explained why it was important to clap hard on 23 minutes (to commemorate the tragic death of a guy who wore the #23) and agreed with us that Ethan Horvath is dope, and converted us from home fans to away fans within half an hour. They taught us chants (IVAN LEKO'S BRUGES ARMY!). They caught us when we almost fell dangerously. They gave us their WhatsApp numbers (shout-out Stef). They embraced us. It was the best parts of this game that has become too much an 🙄"Industry."They shared their joy with us. A nil-nil has never felt so much like three points. #clubbrugge #ucl #bvbfcb
