Vincent Kompany heeft zijn eerste competitiewedstrijd als nieuwe coach van Bayern München nipt kunnen winnen. Tegen Wolfsburg leek het er naar uit te zien dat zijn debuut met een gelijkspel zou eindigen, maar dankzij enkele tactische wissels wist Serge Gnabry in het slot dan toch zijn hachje te redden. De fans waren nadien dan ook onder de indruk van Kompany's ingrepen tijdens de wedstrijd.

The changes he made after going 2-1 for Wolfsburg brought us the win.
Our defense still remains a liability like last season.
I can't at all understand now that we sold our two top defenders in De Ligt and Mazraoui.🙄

Very good in-game management. His subs were spot on. Muller brought stability, and Dier replaced a visibly shaken Kim. He has to sign central defenders though, a more lethal opponent would have put the game out of reach. I can see the vision, he just needs new personnel.
